He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Casey Smith; his parents, Arthur R. Smith and Katie V. Smith; his children, Randy Casey and Gail Thomas; and his brother Arthur Junior Smith.

He is survived by: his sons, Lynn Smith (Angie) and Harry Casey (Melissa); and his children-in-law, Darlene Casey and Dennis Thomas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren; and the blessing of several great-great-grandchildren; several other extended family members and friends.
