He is survived by: his wife Emily Smith Kirkland; his son Curt Kirkland; his siblings, Kenneth Kirkland (Cathy) and Elaine Kirkpatrick; and his granddaughter Alara Praise. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in laws, special friends, and extended family.
