She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hobbs Sr. and Emma Compton Hobbs; her husband Billy Bass; her granddaughter Janice Bass; and her brother James Hobbs.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Bass (Merri Beth) and Suzanne Bass; her granddaughter Meredith Baswell (Chad); her great grandchildren, Davis Baswell, Winn Baswell and Sam Baswell; and her siblings, Ardyce Behrens, Lawana Hurt and Howard Hobbs Jr..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (208 W Hobbs St, Athens, AL 35611). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (208 W Hobbs St, Athens, AL 35611).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in memory of Mrs. Bass to First Methodist Church ministries Manna Meals or God's Bloom.
