He was predeceased by: his daughter Vickie Cantrell; his brothers, Richard, Gene and Charles Cantrell; and his parents, Jimmy Cantrell and Avo Cantrell.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Cantrell; his son Jeffrey Cantrell (Elaine); his siblings, J. C. Cantrell, Henry Cantrell (Geraldine) and Nancy Watkins (John); his grandchildren, Jeffrey "J. R." Cantrell, Johnathan Cantrell and Kimberly Smith; his great grandchildren, Shane, Skylr Smith and Kaylee Cantrell; and his close friends, Scott Pepper and Keith Brackeen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
