He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Kelly Russell; his parents, Bob Adams and Iona Adams; and his brothers, Buddy Adams, Dewayne Adams and Steve Adams.
He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy Scruggs (Roger), Flora Kidd, Lavon Bailey, Brenda Beddingfield and Odessa Thomas (Robert). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
