He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Whitt and Leovis Coats Whitt; and the mother of his children Sheryle Whitt. He is survived by: his wife Annette Whitt; his sons, Neal Whitt (Angela), Bryan Whitt (Jodi) and Jim Whitt (Katrina); his siblings, Karen Koerner (Roger), Eric Whitt (Beth), Michael Whitt (Brenda) and Terry Whitt (Theresa); his grandchildren, Stephanie Sammet (Dickie), Ethan Whitt (Jessica), Rebekah Whitt, Allie Rowland (David), Dylan Whitt, Gunnar Whitt and Lexxie Whitt; his great grandchildren, Camden, Carter, Madalynn, Mason and Willow; and his stepsons, Doug Long (Laura) and Robert Long (Lisa).
