Eddy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Eddy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Eddy will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Smith and Inez Bailey Smith; and his brother Rodney Smith. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Davis Smith; his daughter Maghen Smith (David); his grandchildren, Wyatt Smith and Evelyn Smith; and his brother Ted Smith (Marcy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Hobbs Street Church of Christ (1602 W Hobbs St, Athens, AL 35611-2333). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
