It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Evans of Athens, Alabama, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William A. Evans and Mary Jane Evans (Rochell); and her brother-in-law James "Bobby" Shockley. She is survived by : her sister Merle Shockley of Athens, AL; her niece Tona Haggermaker (Jerry) of Athens, AL; her great-niece Chelesa Haggermaker; her great-nephew Jace Haggermaker (Carly); and also, Jack Haggermaker and Tate Haggermaker.
