He was predeceased by: his parents, James Woodrow Gray and Mary Magdalene Gaston Gray; his wife Mary Josephine Gray; his sister Annette Gray Balch; and his brother-in-law Billy Balch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Utsey (Randy) of Daphne, Pat Lann (Jack) of Athens, Pam Wilson (John) of Paraguay and Jennifer Hooper (Jerry) of Athens; his grandchildren, Lauren Strain, Louisa Marks (Brooks), Will Strain, Alex Lann, Jillian McNichol (Christopher), Cal Wilson, Frank Wilson, Holt Wilson, Jay Hooper, Molly Lauderback (John) and Ben Hooper; his great grandchildren, Brooks Marks, Saima Marks, Gray Marks, Lucy Lauderback and Ava Lauderback; his nephews, John Balch (Sheila) and Gary Willis (Alicia); and his niece Margaret Farmer (John).
