Gilbert Preston Boyd Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 5, 2022, at the age of 73, Gilbert Preston Boyd of Athens, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orin Gilbert Boyd and Ila Hagood Boyd; his stepdaughter Michelle Brown Garner; and his parents-in-law, Billy and Maggie Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Faye Boyd; his grandson Joshua Brown (Christin); his daughter Gretta Buchanan (Shane); his sister Linda Mize (Terry); his granddaughter Lauren Buchanan; his great grandchildren, Layla, Winston and Hudson Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Barry and Allen Sutton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
