He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hilliard "Cowboy" Thomas and Idelle McMahan Thomas; and his brothers, Walter Ronald Thomas and Michael Allen Thomas (Donna Farrell Thomas). He is survived by: his wife Donna Ruth Farrell; his son Jason Brett Thomas (Rhonda); his granddaughter Anna Lee Thomas; his siblings, Gary Morgan Thomas (Carolyn) and Susan Coulter; and his sisters-in-law, Daphne Thomas, Agnes Thomas and Amanda Farrell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Athens First United Methodist Church - Donna Farrell Thomas Manna Ministry Fund, Hospice of Limestone County, or the Union University EDGE Program, Jackson, Tennessee.
