She is survived by: her children, Thomas DePonceau, Donna Raymond (Stephen), Douglas DePonceau, Jeffrey DePonceau (Elizabeth) and Robert DePonceau (Florence); and her siblings, Lena "Tootsie" Powell, June Walls, Max Sullins, Wanda Tate, Penny Sullins and Jimmy Carter. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
