She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Rochelle and Sallie Bell Powers Rochelle; her husband Frederick "Lester" Burgreen; and her sisters, Alice Robison and Gladys Brock.

She is survived by: her sons, Freddie Burgreen (Jerre) and Dwight Burgreen (Sue); her sister Jewel Dean Kennemer; her grandchildren, Zac Burgreen (Carrie), Justin Burgreen (Trista), Fred Burgreen (Cassie) and Leslie Waldrep (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Aubrey Burgreen, Owen Burgreen, Bennett Burgreen, Gracie Waldrep and Will Waldrep.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
