He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Powers and Cathryn Eaves Powers. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Powers; his children, Benjamin Powers (Li Zhou) and Beth Crabtree; his grandson Seth Crabtree; and his sister Kay Powers. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (523 US-31, Athens, AL 35611).
