She was predeceased by: her children, Charlie Gooch and Carrie Nave; and her siblings, Wayne, Bill Curnutt, Ruth Waters, Jean Grissom and Janet Curnutt.
She is survived by: her husband Charles H. Gooch; her daughter Cindy Gooch Cardwell (Rob); her granddaughter Columbia Young (Kaleb); her great grandchild Mack Young; and her siblings, Pat Moore and Walter Curnutt (Betty). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McConnell Memorial Chapel.
