She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Harrison Carter and Beatrice Irene Carter (Clanton); her husband Jim Sandlin; and her siblings, Jack Carter of Lonis Carter, J. D, Bobby Carter, Avis Adcock, Madeline Gardner, Ella Ruth McElyea and Ann Wigginton.
She is survived by: her son Tracy Sandlin (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Brystal Suozzo (Nick) and Forrest Sandlin; her great grandchild Jesse Suozzo; and her siblings, Nellie Robison, Dorothy Ezell and Larry Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
