It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannine Clementine Carter of Athens, Alabama, who passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jeannine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jeannine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Helene Lenel Potard and Jules Potard; her husband Clarence Jackson Carter (Jack); and her daughter Linda. She is survived by: her children, Sheila and Bruce. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
