He is survived by: his wife Cheryl McElyea; his children, Trey McElyea, Alisha Garner and Kristy Segler; his parents, Wanda Shedd (James) and James McElyea (Alice); his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kinslee, Kohl Patterson, Madison and Chase Segler; and his siblings, James Scott McElyea (Susie), Jeff McElyea (Char) and Tammi Gates (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rogersville Funeral Home (18275 US-72, Rogersville, AL 35652). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
