He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Verbon Kilpatrick and Claudie Irvin Kilpatrick Owen; his brothers-in-law, Wayne'Polly'Fowler and Bill James; and his grandparents, Robert David Kilpatrick, Verna Holland Kilpatrick, Mack Irvin and Nannie Hamby Irvin.

He is survived by: his sister Regenia Kilpatrick Fowler James; his close friend Wichien'Ott'Choosilp; his nephew Joshua Johnson; and his great-nephews, Eli Johnson and Jaxon Johnson.
