It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonas Keith Peete of Athens, Alabama, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jonas has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sharon McLemore (McLemore); and his granddaughter Lily McLemore. He is survived by: his father Keith Peete (Marilyn); his brother Travis Peete; his daughter Brittney Peete (Daniel Ross); his grandchildren, Rebecca Lewis and Kayden McLemore; and his sisters, Christina Casil and Angelina Peete. He is also survived by nieces; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Wallace Cemetery (165 Countryside Ln, Rogersville, AL 35652).
