He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Long and Mary Long (Butcher). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Long of Athens; his daughters, Amanda McMilin (Adam) and Allyson Mack; and his grandchildren, Alina McMilin, Nathaniel McMilin (Abby), Rylan Baker, Emma McMilin, Izzy McMilin and Evie McMilin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sardis Springs Baptist Church (18310 AL-251, Athens, AL 35613-4626). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
