It is with sadness that the passing of Larry R. Buchanan of Athens, Alabama is shared. Larry, born on April 3, 1950, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Larry will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Buchanan and Lucille Buchanan. He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Slimp (Steve) of Athens, AL and Ashley Thompson (Willie) of Paducah; his brother Donald "Don" Buchanan (Nancy) of Richmond, Virginia; his grandchildren, Alex Slimp, Kamron Slimp (Jessica) and Kyler Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Lainey Willow and Paisley Lynn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
