He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Marilyn Thompson (Rutherford); his daughter Courtney Rutherford; and his brother Stanely Salis. He is survived by: his wife Joan Rutherford; his children, Savilla Rutherford (Mike) and Chris Rutherford (Brianna); his siblings, Dewayne Thompson (Charlotte), Donald Rutherford (Tina) and Connie Sanders (Robert); his grandchildren, Keegan Alexander, Malachi Alexander, Jeremiah Alexander and Brantley Moran; and his nephew Brandon Patterson (Brittany). He is also survived by many other grandchildren and nephews.
