She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mitchell Butcher and Fannie Mae Hedgecoth Butcher; her husband Jerry Long; her siblings, Wanda Griggs, Sharon Clifton, Margaret Brooks, Faye Bee and Kenneth Butcher; and her nephews, Nicholas King and Phillip Griggs.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Long (Debbie), Keith Long (Kathy), Renetta Kimbrough (Danny), Anthony Long (Connie) and Crystal Long; her siblings, Nettie Higgins (J. B.), Linda Hollingsworth (James), Frances King (Fagan), Renee Stoltzfus (John) and Tommy Butcher (Shirl); her aunt Sadie Butcher; and her sister-in-law Margaret Raney. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Mary "Miss Daisy" Long.
