She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Leonard Nichols and Wealtha Elizabeth Karn Nichols; her daughter Marilyn Burgett; and her grandsons, Richard Dax Robinson and Trey Voiers.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Hughes, John Lynn Daly (Becky) and Susan Voiers; her son-in-law Gary Burgett; and her siblings, Earl Nichols and Nell Barnett. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
