Raymond Oliver Williams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Oliver Williams of Athens, Alabama, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elden "Bill" Williams and Estelene Hagood Williams; and his sister Betty Aeschilman. He is survived by : his wife Judy Williams; his children, Rodney Williams and Melissa Shackelford (Patrick); his sisters, Tracy Gilliam and Vickie Sumrall (James); his grandchildren, Emily Shackelford, Joshua Shackelford and Jacob Shackelford; and his caregiver Teresa Hicks. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren, and his church family.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Hospice of North Alabama or Truth Baptist Church in Athens.
