He is survived by : his children, Anthony Lane Chaney, Erick Chaney (Ola), Morgan Lea Chaney (Sam) and Meagan Guthrie; his siblings, Milton Chaney, Tony Chaney, Ronald Chaney, Barbara Keeton and Brenda Kilpatrick; and his granddaughter Ellie Reynolds.
