He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cornelius and Betty Maude Ball Hooie; and his brother Clayburn Phillip Hooie. He is survived by: his wife Margie Brown Hooie of Athens; his children, Erik Hooie (Jamie) of Montgomery, AL, Trevor Hooie (Katie) of Hoover, AL and Amanda Nunley (Matt) of Elkmont, AL; and his grandchildren, Eli Lasley Hooie, Robert Clay Noble Hooie, Hunter Jay Nunley and Sophia Pearl Nunley.
