It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Powell of Athens, Alabama, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Powell and Olive Powell; his wife Reba Campbell Powell; and his sons-in-law, James Thomas Phillips and Calvin Peter Holt.

He is survived by : his daughters, Lisa Holt and Rebekah Fentress (Donald); his grandchildren, Hannah Fox (Morgan), Noah Eakes (Brianna) and Dylan Phillips; his great grandchild Willa Kate Eakes; and his sister Frances Broadwater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
