He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Vessels and Bonnie Phillips Vessels; and his brother Dwight Vessels. He is survived by: his sisters, Annette Dousay, Marie Carter and Carylon Carroll; and his siblings' children, Karen Mullinax (Fred), Don Carroll (Tra), Cathy Harrison and Jason Carter.
