With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Royce Taylor Cottrell of Athens, Alabama, born in Lexington, Alabama, who passed away on October 15, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Cottrell and Ona Freeman Cottrell; his brother Harold Cottrell; and his brother-in-law Jud Adams. He is survived by : his wife Sarah Cottrell; his children, Keith Cottrell (Lisa) and Kim Lamb; his sister Phyllis Adams; his sister-in-law Ann Cottrell; his grandchildren, Mitch Lamb (Mary), Brooke DeMoss (Jake), Hannah Hayes (William), Alex Cottrell and Kade Cottrell; and his great grandchildren, Brody, Kona, Liam and Callan.
