With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott Barton Laxson of Athens, Alabama, born in Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on May 13, 2025 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Scott Barton Laxson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Laxson and Neva Laxson; and his former wife Freda Laxson. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Laxson of Athens, AL; his sister Danene Arp of Amarillo, TX; his children, Justin Laxson (Jennifer) of Madison, MS, Kevin Laxson (Rachel) of Madison, MS, Barry Walters (Leslie) of Madison, MS and London Zera (Alex) of Nashville, TN; and his grandchildren, Dawson Walters, Sutton Walters, Maddux Walters, Mary Henley Laxson, Ella Laxson, Bo Laxson and Shelby Laxson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Glioblastoma Research Organization in Scott's memory to help others fighting cancer.
