He is survived by: his niece Katie Jones; his wife Anita Jackson; his son Dustin Jackson (Meggan); his grandchildren, Caden "Pistol Pete" Jackson and Addy "Lou Lou" Jackson; his siblings, Venalyn King (Johnnie), Mike Jackson (Patsy), Mark Jackson (Mindy) and James Douglas Jackson (Susan); and his family Bethel Baptist Church. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
