With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Gene Aldridge of Athens, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nathaniel Aldridge and Zola Kyle; and his siblings, Jimmy Aldridge and Bobbie Thrasher. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Aldridge; his children, Tracy Aldridge (Lisa), Kenneth Aldridge (Melissa), Shelia Green (Micky) and Tina Aldridge; his sisters, Caroline Eaton, Diane Aldridge, Edith Aldridge, Donna Sue Aldridge and Mary Flesher; his grandchildren, Cody Aldridge, Shane Herring, Logan Aldridge and Kaitlyn Aldridge; and his great grandchild Kai Waas.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama in Mr. Aldridge's memory.
