She was predeceased by: her husband Bernie Jordan "Gator" Wiggins; her parents, George Washington Blackmon and Martha Leonora Blackmon; her sisters, Winnie Blackmon, Connie Blackmon Garriety, Louise Blackmon Sanders and Janie Blackmon Dews; her great grandchild Helene Bowen; and also Carolyn Parker.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Torrence Sawyer of Atmore, David Edward Torrence, Jr. (Lorrie) of Walling Tennessee, Darlene Torrence Buckhault and Carol Wiggins Booth (Mark) of Atmore, Alabama; her brother Jerry Blackmon of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her grandchildren, Brandy Long Hoover, Jennifer Dunn Reyes (Alex), Jarrod Long (Ashley), Brandon Long (Nicole), Justin Long (Alicia), Felisha Buckhault Burkeen (Jason), Johnny Lacy, Jr. (Amy), Jordan Nelson Brown (Austin), Jarrett Nelson, David Torrence III and Kody Torrence (Brenda); her niece Carissa Sheppard (Kyle); her great-nephew Aiden Dews; and her friend Shirley Whatley. She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Petty Funeral Homes (9260 US-31, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
