It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Smith of Atmore, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Moye and Ollie Moye; her husband Jack Smith; and her siblings, Earlene Helton, Gladys Stanton, Willanette Troutman and Claude Moye.

She is survived by: her daughter Janet; her son-in-law Robin Swift of Orange Beach; her son Randy; her daughter-in-law Susan Smith of Orange Beach; her grandchildren, Justin Beasley (Andrea) of Atmore, Jace Beasley (Lauren) of Atmore and Bailey Stitt (Adam) of Orange Beach; and her great grandchildren, Kendal Beasley, Kate Beasley, Klaire Beasley, Alexa Beasley, Jackson Beasley, Paige Lassiter, Ragan Lassiter and Brooks Stitt.
