He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ward and Lillie Childress Ward; his siblings, Raymond Ward, Inez Wiggins, Howard Ward and Lavaughn Ward; and his stepson John-Graham Quinley.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Wood Ward of Huxford, AL; his children, Brad Ward of Huxford, AL and Beth Donaldson (Michael) of Daphne, AL; his stepchildren, Katherine Corbin (Sean) of South Carolina and William Graham Quinley (Alyssa) of Fairhope, AL; his siblings, J. E. Ward of Goodway, AL and Margaret Coker (Kenneth) of Mobile, AL; and his grandson Christian Donaldson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
