She was predeceased by : her parents, Clark Godwin and Gwendolin Scruggs. She is survived by : her children, John Robert Helton (Lisa) of Louisville, KY, Donovan Smith (Danell) of Arlington, TX and Melissa Miller; her sisters, Joyce Rhinehart of Atmore, AL, Gloria (Roger), Delores Palozie of New Hartford, CT and Kathryn Lisa Lips (Andrea) of Milton, FL; and her close friend Rev. Patrick Madden. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
