She was predeceased by : her father Robert Godwin (Sybil Gibbs); and her brothers, Larry Godwin and Robert Earl Godwin. She is survived by : her husband Jim Riggs of Atmore, AL; her sons, Roger Riggs of Walnut Hill, FL and Mark Riggs (Kim) of Atmore, AL; her grandson Alex Reid; and her sons, Shane Riggs, Chandi Riggs and Tyler Riggs. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home (9260 US-31, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
