In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Vernon had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Vernon may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Fore and Reaby Conway Fore; his siblings, Butch Fore, Billy Fore and Joyce Watson (Terry); and his granddaughter Cheyenne Hammond.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Lassiter (Scott) and Lisa Calloway (Mike) of Flomaton, Alabama.; his sibling's children, Mark Watson of Brooklyn, Gay Watson of Gulf Shores and Beth Cooke (Bart) of Houston; and his grandson Hunter Lassiter of Pensacola, Florida.. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Petty Funeral Homes (9260 US-31, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
