She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Thayron Nichols; her parents, Homer Whittemore and Minnie Johnston Whittemore; her siblings, Ralph Autrey Whittemore, Homer Adolph Whittemore, Ollie Naomi Whittemore Nabors, Ruth Estelle Whittemore McBurnette, Martha Leola Whittemore and Esther Belle Whittemore; and her grandson Mahlon Curtis Messer Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, William Keith Nichols, Karen Elaine Nichols Rhodes (Eddie) and Kathy Leola Nichols Meadows (Richard); her grandchildren, Melonie Nichols Rueger, Matthew Nichols, Allison, Jordan, Riley Rhodes, Jacob, Will and Luke Meadows; her great grandchild Grayson Elijah Rueger; her sisters, Doris Dorothy Collier and Grace Whittemore Jordan; and her caregivers, Terrie Martin, Precious Boahen, Sharon Williams, Bre Stoudemire, Karen Naley and Joanne Decker.
