He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen White and Johnnie D. Barton; his grandmother Lula Hubbard; and his siblings, Linda White Tolleson, Kay White Nelson, Ray White and Ricky White.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Barton (Kirby); his children, Kevin Barton, Lisa Colegrove (Chris) and DeAnna Tarnate (Josh); his grandchildren, Ryan Colegrove, Hannah Logan (Ethan), Lauren Tarnate and Madison Tarnate; his great grandchild Malorie Tarnate Burke; and his brother Wendell Barton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Funeral Home (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
