It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert George Cross III (Attalla, Alabama), who passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert George Cross Jr. and Margaret Ann Cross; his sister Judy Cross Whorton; his uncle Dr. Todd Cross; his parents-in-law, Beamon and Jo Powell; his brother-in-law Raymond Powell; and his nephew Jeremy Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Debra; his daughters, Amy Duffey (Sam) and Stacy Moore (Bryant); his grandchildren, Livy Duffey, Harris Moore and Julia Moore; his siblings-in-law, Kay Brown (Gary), Donna Smith (Duane) and Bob Whorton (Linda); and his nibling Breann Smith (Will).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Attalla.
