He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Wilson; his daughter Rita Hamilton; and his parents, Winston Wilson and Emma Jane Wilson. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Josh Hamilton (Britney) and Lindsey Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Emily; his niece Paulette Lee (Mike); his daughter Sherry Clayton; and his close friend Irene Arledge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
