She was predeceased by: her mother Gladys Childress; and her husbands, Carl Griffith, Junior Dean, Wiley Minyard and Wayne Kitchens.
She is survived by: her children, Melba Lindsey (Jeff), Tommy Griffith (Patricia), Scott Dean (Candy), Shane Dean (Lisa) and Nicole Childress; her siblings, Faye Allen (David), Brenda Dean, Darlene Cornwall (Vulker), Edward Childress, Larry Childress, Raymond Childress, Johnny Childress, Jean Wilson, Pat Autwell and Sheila Childress; her grandson Brandon Ogles; and also Jeff Chamblee. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cox Chapel United Methodist Church (135 Cox Gap Rd, Attalla, AL 35954). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cox Chapel Church (135 Cox Chapel Rd, Whitesboro, AL 35954).
