She was predeceased by: her husband Marlon Cook; her close friend Steve Thomas; her parents, Jim Stokes and Violet Stokes; and her siblings, L. C. White, Ernest, Johnnie, Bufford Stokes, Kathleen Johnson, Doris Maxwell and Mary Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Bussey and Tommy Teal; and her grandsons, Aaron Teal and Connor Teal.
