It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ambers E. Hanson of Auburn, Alabama, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Madison Hanson and Lora Butler Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Jean Lowery Hanson; his children, Scott (Sarah) and Lynn (Mary Lou); his grandchildren, Lora Lynn (Andrew) and Daniel (Anna); and his great grandchildren, Sam, Ian, Adam, Ellen, Willa, Mira and Finn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeview Baptist Church (1600 E Glenn Ave, Auburn, AL 36830). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Ranburne Baptist Church (2700 Frank Ledbetter Memorial Dr, Ranburne, AL 36273).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Benevolence Fund at Lakeview Baptist Church or to the Ranburne First Baptist Church of Ranburne, Alabama.
