He was predeceased by: his parents, O. Bert Dillard and Eunice Dillard; and his wife Susan L. Dillard. He is survived by: his daughter Shay Dillard Tolson; his granddaughter Hannah Nicole Gembel (Reece); and his great grandchildren, Magnolia Jordan Gembel and Braxton Alexander Gembel.
