He was predeceased by: his parents, Davis Wilson Gardner and Nellie Hallford Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Rooks Gardner; his children, Cindy Golden (Bill) and Doug Gardner (Karen); his grandchildren, Jessica Golden Corman (Clay), Andy Golden (Richelle), Will Golden (Brianna) and Lauren Gardner Steele (Matt); his great grandchildren, William, Davis, Sam Corman, Emery, Elliot Golden and Archie Golden; and his sister Janelle Gilbert.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
