He is survived by : his wife Betty Tidwell Kenney; his sons, Steve Kenney and Scott Kenney; his grandson Tyler Kenney; his great grandchild Scarlette Reeves; his nephew Sonny Chambers (Debra); and his nieces, Bernice Cullars, Jeanette Trantham and Judy Wilkes (Jerry). He is also survived by many loving friends and other family members.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Loachapoka Baptist Church.
